Schizo Girl!

The story of a schizophrenic teen carrying out the evil biddings of a conch shell? A girl who uses the sound of the sea to tune her piano? A feathered hair-lovin' girl who is also partial to prairie fashion? Your guess is as good as mine.....actually the girl's mother drowns in a freak accident and her dad ships her off to an aunt's house in New Zealand! Zaniness ensues.

"a schizophrenic teen carrying out the evil biddings of a conch shell?" Your interpretation of the cover made me LOL! Genius, Miz K!

PS Are you only reviewing books that can be tagged "feathered hair"? Are we revisting an old Lief Garrett obsession?

Ha-ha! I didn't mean to obsess over the feathered hair, but I guess it's bringing out the nostalgic longings for those happier times ;) The next cover I feature will NOT have a teen with feathered hair- perhaps a Dorothy Hamill bowl cut?

Back to the little house for you, half pint! The shell is telling her to change her clothes. I do like the dreamy far away look on her face though. It's almost reminiscant of Patty Duke's interpretation of Helen Keller.
